Allen and Connie Skolnick, long-time pioneers of the dietary supplement and natural products industry, along with their son Rand Skolnick, were integral to leading and growing Solgar Vitamin & Herb, Inc. Sandy Gooch, co-founder of Mrs. Gooch's Natural Markets accepted the posthumous award for the family. Each family member filled a crucial role in keeping the business functioning, Gooch said. Connie kept the administrative matters up to date, Allen worked on product development and supplement regulation-related advocacy and Rand meticulously built up the company and maintained the high standards of transparency and accountability that made it an industry leader.
