Fruit d'Or launches Cransport C

Fruit d'Or launches Cransport C
New combination ingredient featuring Helios Corp.'s Transport C-PLUS supports immune health.

Stephen Lukawski, director of business development and sales for Fruit d'Or, has announced the launch of Cransport C, which combines 500 mg of Cran Naturelle and Cran d'Or cranberry powder with 150 mg of Transport C-PLUSTM, a next-generation vitamin C from Helios Corp. that is backed by human clinical studies.

Transport C-PLUS originates from a patented formulation that combines the benefits of multiple vitamin derivatives. It specifically enhances vitamin C transport through the bloodstream and into specific storage cells, thus increasing bioavailability of the virgin vitamin C by 300 percent.

Cran Naturelle is clinically studied 100 percent all-natural whole-food organic cranberry that is non-GMO and pesticide free and contains no fillers, additives or flow agents. Direct from the growers in Quebec, the cranberry is planted, harvested and dried by Fruit d’Or. Independent laboratory testing shows it contains the highest proanthocyanidin content of any natural cranberry ingredient on the market.

Rutgers University research from 2014 showed that the unique combination of Fruit d'Or cranberry with Transport C-PLUS resulted in approximately 80 percent efficacy in anti-adhesion of uropathogenic material (E. coli) in the urine of 20 participants. According to Lukawski, the study participants were men and women, age 25 to 60, showing that the majority of the adult population may benefit by supplementing with this combination.

"Results demonstrate that each ingredient independently and effectively provides health values, and as a distinctive combination, provides benefits for both urinary tract health and immune health support," Lukawski comments. "Results are very encouraging to support daily use for the maintenance of healthy immunity."

Fruit d'Or has signed an agreement with Helios Corp. as cranberry company of choice to partner for a potent immune-combination launch, and this strategic partnership is based on a mutual R&D approach to "next-generation" ingredients that feature technological improvements in bioavailability, traceability, standardization and purity.

"We were highly intrigued by cranberry, and scoped out the suppliers; we were impressed by all the work and science supporting Cran Naturelle and Cran d'Or from Fruit d'Or," says Michael Jeffers, CEO of Helios Corp. "Stephen Lukawski and the team at Fruit d'Or have core values and goals that are in perfect alignment with Helios Corp. The unique combination of our Transport C-PLUS with Fruit d'Or's signature cranberry ingredients made perfect sense for the consumers who are seeking reliable super-antioxidant protection."

Lukawski comments, "Our mission at Fruit d'Or is to lead through impeccable science and technology, because this is what retailers and consumers expect of the supplements available to them. Cransport C joins our Oral Cran and Cran Bella in providing health-supporting options that provide targeted care beyond urinary tract health. This opportunity reflects our mission of taking cranberry ingredients to other powerful applications in health and beauty. Helios Corp. understands that Fruit d'Or has positioned the quality of our cranberry at the highest possible standard in order to protect the consumers who invest in cranberry supplements by delivering ingredients that offer efficacy, standardization and authenticity in a wholly vertical operation."

Immune support with cranberry is a combination that will play an important role in the overall health and well-being of consumers, as an increasing number of people begin to understand that healthy immune function provides the best defense against developing health issues and conditions, Lukawski says. "Look for immune-support products to become a more invigorating category, as demand accelerates," he adds.
