1. Goldenberry superfruit powder
North America’s first organic Goldenberry Powder is being offered by superfood leader Navitas Naturals, thanks to their partnership with an association of family farmers in Colombia. This freeze-dried powder offers consumers a new way to obtain vitamins A and C, beta-carotene and bioflavonoids. Goldenberry also contains an abundance of protein, dietary fiber and phytonutrients. 2. Floss and liquid soap containing Neem
Organix-South has launched several new products: TheraNeem Dental Floss in two flavors, Mint and Cinnamon; as well as Neem Liquid Soap, a neem and castile soap made with certified organic oils and no harsh detergents. The floss is coated with organic extracts of Neem leaf and Neem bark, along with grapeseed, licorice, fennel, clove, peppermint and vegan wax. The liquid soap is packaged in 16 fl oz. bottles and comes in two varieties: unscented and lavendar. Neem is a tree native to India and Southeast Asia used for holistic health for thousands of years.
3. High-protein bars and chews
PROBAR has launched two sports nutrition line-ups: CORE Protein Bars and BOLT Energy Chews. The bars pack 20g of plant-based protein, as well as an omega-3 rich blend of flax and chia seeds. They come in four flavors: Cookie Dough, Mint Chocolate, Brownie Crisp, Peanut Butter Chocolate. The bars are certified gluten-free, dairy-free, and have had all sugar alcohols removed. The energy chews are the first non-bar product in the company's history. Nordic Naturals has unveiled several new products: Nordic Omega-3 Jellies contain 250 mg of EPA+DHA per chewable jellie. Made from purified fish oil from anchovies and sardines, the chewies are formulated for children ages 2 and over. Another new product, Baby's DHA Vegetarian, is made from the same vegetarian oil as Algae Omega for adults. It is for infants 6 months or older, and comes in a measure dropper for easy addition to formula or food. Finally, Vitamin D3 Vegan formula is a liquid formula from lichen, developed for vegans, or for consumers who prefer a non-lanolin form of vitamin D3. The plant-based formula is in the natural form of vitamin D, or cholecalciferol, which is better absorbed and utilized by the body.
