Make a deal at Expo East

In addition to the networking, entertainment, new products and informational sessions at Natural Products Expo East, add “find killer deals” to your list of to-do’s at this year’s show, which will be held Oct. 13 to 16 in Boston. Below, Mary Beth Catapano, Expo East retail account manager, offers the top five ways you can save as much as 25 percent on the show floor.

1| Do your research.
Make a list of brands and schedule buying appointments with the companies you want to visit at the show by using the Online Buyers’ Guide and Show Directory at expoeast.com.

2 | Look for the logo.
The 25 Percent Club logo on the show floor directly in front of booths indicates exhibitors offering a discount. You can also find participating companies at expoeast.com.

3 | Be mobile.
Watch the #ExpoEast stream on Twitter for real-time deals.

4 | Visit distributor booths.
Ask about bulk discounts at the UNFI booth (2693) and Tree of Life booth (1893).

5 | Check out unfamiliar brands.
Explore brands you’re not currently carrying and share information about your store with manufacturers. Are you a small independent, a co-op or a growing chain? Who are your predominant customers? Where could new products fit in with your current merchandising mix?
