See you in Boston for Expo East 2008

The Natural Products Expo East/Organic Products Expo-BioFach America trade show will relocate from Baltimore to Boston in 2008. The show will be held Oct. 15 to 18 at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center. The move was announced Sept. 27 at the Natural Products Association reception at this year's show in Baltimore.

The move will accommodate exhibitor and attendee growth and offer more hotel options in close proximity to the convention center. The new location also features a contiguous show floor for exhibitors and attendees and will expose exhibitors to new markets in the Northeast.

"With the growth of the show and the industry, we are thrilled to provide our clients with an exciting new, green venue in a progressive city that is so important to natural products," said Erica Hulsman, the show manager for Natural Products Expo East.

Adler award goes to Gunton
Shelley Gunton, co-founder and "top dog" at Castor and Pollux Pet Works in Clackamas, Ore., received the Cliff Adler Heart in Business Award Sept. 28 at Natural Products Expo East. The award, which has been given annually since 1989, honors an industry member who embodies the values Adler was known for—achievement, integrity, good staff relationships, problem-solving skills, humor, hard work and heart.

Gunton was chosen for the honor because she excels in all these qualities, said Phil Margolis, a member of the selection committee and president of Ivyland, Pa.-based Neshaminy Valley Natural Foods. "Again we are pleased to honor another individual truly deserving of the Adler award," he said. To nominate an industry member for next year's Adler award, go to www.expoeast.com/adler.cfm.
