10 top new organic, natural products named at KeHE's Holiday Show

KeHE Distributors, a natural and organic foods distributor founded in 1953, has announced the winners of its 2018 Holiday Show, held in June in Chicago, Illinois.

The New Products Showcase featured more than 190 Certified B Corp or KeHE CAREtrade partner brands.

“At our show, we do more than connect; we are able to satisfy our mission of serving to make lives better," said Ari Goldsmith, KeHE executive director of marketing, in a statement. "Showcasing our values is an important pillar in our trade shows."

Show attendees chose these Best of New Products award winners:

Best of Show: Prommus

Chicago, Ilinois-based Prommus makes hummus in four flavors: traditional, avocado, red pepper and kalamata olive, each with 4 grams of protein per 2-tablespoon serving. Anthony Brahimsha started the company in 2014 to help fight malnutrition in Syrian refugee children. Every purchase contributes to the battle against world hunger.

Best of Beverages: VitaCup

VitaCup offers vitamin-infused coffee and tea pods that are compatible with Keurig brewers. Each pod contains vitamins B1, B5, B6, B9 and B12; vitamin D3; and antioxidants. Available coffee flavors include Genius Blend, Gourmet Breakfast Blend, French Roast and French Vanilla; a number of variety attacks are offered, as well.

Best of Breakfast: Coffee Booster

Coffee Booster offers liquid health supplements that you can add to your coffee yet not affect the flavor of your favorite beverage. The elixirs, sold in 250 mL bottles, are available in five varieties: mind, collagen, antioxidant, multivitamin and immunity. Each one is gluten free, dairy free and has no added sugar.

Best of Confections & Baking: Pamela’s Products

Pamela’s Products began offering gluten-free and natural foods in 1988. Today’s product line includes baking mixes, cookies and snack bars that feature high-quality sugars, palm sugars, minimally processed grains and non-rBGH butter. In addition to mixes, Pamela’s Products also offers packaged cookies, graham crackers and pastas.

When Gail Becker’s boys were diagnosed with Celiac disease, she sought gluten-free, nutritious foods. After finding that cauliflower crust pizza was difficult to make, she left her job to start Caulipower. In addition to frozen plain crusts, the company offers four flavors of frozen pizza; it also recently introduced two baking mixes.

EO, which stands for Essential Oils, is dedicated to helping people who are working toward beautiful, healthy body care. To control the ingredients in its lotions, soaps and shampoos, EO develops and makes all of its products. It’s been a certified organic manufacturer since 2004.

Different flavors of Berri Fit beverages benefit different charities, such as the Pediatric Cancer Foundation, Citizens for GMO Labeling and ChildFund’s International Send a Girl to School program.
