The Philadelphia metropolitan area is home to an abundance of healthy, natural grocery stores, many of which feature a wide range of organic products. Organic food and beverage sales in the U.S. grew an estimated 2% to $48.74B in 2021 as the industry increased its focus on climate-friendly supply, according to New Hope Network's State of Natural and Organic presented at Expo West 2022.

Before you leave the Philadelphia area, you might want to check out these well-known retailers:

Martindale's Natural Market—Established in 1869, Martindale's is known as the first health food store in the United States. Located in Springfield, it specializes in providing a variety of fresh, local, organic food, including a range of gluten-free options. The store is dedicated to fostering a sustainable environment by making fair trade choices accessible for staff, customers and the local community.

Weavers Way—This member-owned co-op, founded in 1973, has several locations throughout Northwest Philadelphia.
