Monsanto secretly funded research supporting glyphosate's use in Europe

In 2017, lobbyists fought a possible ban of glyphosate in the European Union with research that, it turns out, Monsanto paid for. The maker of Roundup weed killer—paid researchers who concluded that a ban on Roundup would severely cut wheat and oil seed rape production and lead to increased emissions of greenhouse gases.
