Intermittent fasting isn't turning out to be the silver bullet in terms of losing weight and speeding up metabolism that consumers have been led to believe it is. A new comprehensive study showed that a group of fasting participants did not differ in terms of fat mass, fasting insulin, blood sugar, HbA1C or lipids from the control group that ate three meals a day.
