To better serve this new demographic, they've begun focusing on dinner, adding kid-friendly options and preparing for larger orders. In a similar vein, one female Black farmer is using her land to fight what she refers to as a "food apartheid." Leah Penniman argues that Black Americans are more likely to die from diet-related issues than any other reason, which is inextricably linked to fresh food access.
