Whole Foods Market will remove all plastic straws from its U.S., U.K. and Canadian locations by July of 2019. The battle over air quality near factory farms on Maryland’s eastern shore

News broke last week that a low-fat diet could be a potential way for women to reduce the risk of death from breast cancer. However, participants in the study were also advised to include more fruits and vegetables in their diets, in addition to reducing fat consumption. In light of this confounding variable, experts have concluded that the type of fat is what really matters for preventing disease and that fat content alone “does not determine whether a food is healthy or unhealthy." Read more at NPR …
