Real Food Sales, a foodservice brokerage dedicated to bringing natural, organic, nonGMO foods into the “dining away from home” segment, announces that it has rebranded as ONTREND. RFS was founded in 2016 by Bill Stewart, a lifelong foodservice professional dedicated to the organic and natural movement. Bill Stewart passed away in November 2018.

A legacy foodservice professional, following in the footsteps of his grandfather and father, George Stewart, Bill became passionate about organic and natural foods in the early 1990s, when he founded Real Foodservices as the first foodservice brokerage completely dedicated to organic and natural.

Over the course of almost 30 years, Bill shepherded his vision through multiple incarnations. In 2016, he founded Real Food Sales and assembled a team featuring top foodservice and industry professionals, as well as a dynamic marketing team. Upon his passing, industry veterans Bob Hartpence and Robert Green took the reins, rebranded as ONTREND, and are dedicated to expanding and building on Bill’s vision to bring natural and organic foods into the foodservice channel.

Robert Green states, “Both Bob and I and the entire ONTREND team feel fortunate to have the opportunity to continue Bill’s vision of mainstreaming healthy foods in foodservice.”

Bill Stewart was honored as an inductee into the Hall of Legends at Natural Products Expo West 2019 for his lifelong dedication to bringing organic and natural products to foodservice.
