Artisinal ghee manufacturer Fourth & Heart, formerly Tava Life, has seen wide expansion into new markets and numerous grocers following a complete rebrand this spring, reaching 1,300 stores nationwide including Whole Foods Market, Earth Fare, PCC Natural Markets and Thrive Market. Its product portfolio features grass-fed, pasture-raised and glyphosate-free ghee in gourmet flavors of White Truffle Salt, Himalayan Pink Salt, California Garlic, Madagascar Vanilla Bean and original.

Cocokind, an organic skincare company, has launched new baby SKUs that are centered around coconut oil. The line is USDA certified organic, and 100 percent chemical-free and preservative-free. Each product has a max of five gentle yet nourishing ingredients.

Milo's Tea Company has introduced four new USDA certified Cafe Style Organic Teas in the refrigerated section of stores across the country. Packaged in 59-ounce carafes, Milo’s Café Style Organic Teas are fresh brewed from custom-blended organic tea leaves and sweetened with certified organic cane sugar or a blend of organic cane sugar and organic stevia.

Northwest-based organic distributor Organically Grown Company recently reached an impressive milestone, announcing the donation of $1 million to the GROW program through 10 years of sales. OGC committed to purchasing its organic bananas exclusively from GROW beginning in 2005 when the brand was first introduced by Organics Unlimited.

Valensa International announced that it has completed manufacturing ovo-vegetarian Deep Ocean Caviar, a first-of-its-kind omega-3 phospholipid supplement that contains no fish oil. Deep Ocean Caviar is derived from North Atlantic Herring Roe (herring eggs) combined with algae-sourced Astaxanthin and Verilla vegetarian ALA Perilla Seed Oil, providing a rich source of Omega-3 phospholipids.

Smart Flour Foods will introduce a new and improved ancient-grain based hamburger bun for foodservice customers at the National Restaurant Association Show in Chicago. Featuring sorghum, amaranth and teff, these naturally gluten-free hamburger buns are hearty enough for a thick meat or veggie patty and have mass-market taste appeal. The company will also launch its brand new hoagie rolls at the show.

After a thorough preparation over the past year, Lallemand has successfully obtained the Non-GMO Project verification for its whole cell yeast (Saccharomyces and torula), yeast extracts (umami and savory) and yeast autolysates.

NOW is one of the first companies to be certified by Underwriters Laboratories for its dietary supplement manufacturing process. The purpose of the UL R National Brand Certification Program is to assess the extent to which an organization conforms to the applicable regulations and/or standards regarding the products being manufactured.

Vitamin and supplement manufacturer Natrol LLC is introducing three new products: Natrol Skin, Hair & Nails; Natrol Biotin Plus; and Natrol Extra Strength Turmeric. J&J Snack Foods Corp. announced a new line extension to the Whole Fruit brand with its Whole Fruit Organic Juice Tubes. These three-ounce juice tubes are available in four flavors: Apple Concord Grape, Apple Strawberry, Apple Blueberry and Apple Cherry. Each variety is only 60 calories and has no dairy, fat, GMOs, high fructose corn syrup or gluten.

Nature’s Power Nutraceuticals, a wholesale supplier of premium nutraceutical ingredients and botanical extracts for the functional food, beverage, dietary supplement and cosmetic industries, released seven new certified organic ingredients: Carrot Juice Powder, Fennel Seed Powder,  Fenugreek Seed Powder, Ginger Powder, Goji Powder, Senna Leaf Powder and Sweet Potato Powder.
