Piveg Inc. announced the opening of a new R&D laboratory and application facility in San Diego. This will now be the third facility in the United States fully operated by Piveg. Worldwide, Piveg owns and operates six manufacturing plants, four laboratory/research facilities, 15 warehousing sites, and 10 administrative sales and marketing offices.

Superfood snack brand Rhythm Superfoods closed a $3 million funding round with the lead investment coming from 301 Inc., General Mills' venture unit.

Jerky brand KRAVE announced the KRAVE Better campaign featuring Jillian Michaels, pro footballer Vernon Davis and Boston Marathon champ Meb Keflezighi.

Hemp Health Inc., maker of hemp cannabidiol products, today introduced CannaPleasure, a stimulating salve for the bedroom. The company also released Pharma CBD Peanut Butter and Honey, new kid-friendly edibles that deliver the medicinal benefits of CBD without the psychoactive effects of THC. Both products are legal in all 50 states and 42 countries.

Four new gluten-free, non-GMO flavors have been added to the Modern Oats lineup: Vermont Maple; Coconut Almond; 5 Berry (no sugar added) and Just Oats.

Jelly Belly Candy Company is releasing its first organic line of jelly beans this winter, made with USDA organic certified and non-GMO ingredients.
