BI Nutraceuticals announced the promotion of Randy Kreienbrink to vice president of marketing. Randy joined BI in 2012, bringing 25 years experience in sales and marketing with various food, flavor and ingredient companies and during his tenure has solidly positioned BI for market success today and in the future. 

Sustainable nutrition company Nutrinsic Corp. announced the appointment of Dan Simon as president, CEO, and member of the board of directors. Prior to joining Nutrinsic, Dan was president and CEO at Heliae Technology Holdings, an algae biotech company which produced a range of nutraceutical, agro-science, nutrition and personal care products.

Navitas Naturals has announced that Peter Hartman has been hired as the vice president of sales. Hartman has worked as a sales executive in the natural products industry for the last 10 years. Most recently, he was the U.S. sales director for Vega, one of the premier plant-based nutrition companies.

Twenty-five year food quality veteran Craig Stapleton is the new directory of quality assurance at PLT Health Solutions Inc., where he will lead the implementation and ongoing management of quality programs, policies and strategies that respond to client and industry standards.

Global Organics Ltd. has announced the hiring of Mark Novak as director of operations. He brings 25 years of experience in the organic and natural foods industry, ranging from warehousing and distribution to production and manufacturing. He has held senior operations and general management positions at Arrowhead Mills, Northeast Cooperatives (now part of UNFI), Kahiki Foods and Raybern Foods.

Wholesale botanical ingredient supplier Nature’s Power Nutraceuticals has appointed Trevor Hitch as account manager.

Sabinsa Corp. founder Muhammed Majeed PhD was honored with the NIB Global Innovation & Excellence Award at a ceremony organized by the Public Relations Council of India (PRCI) and the Press Club of India on February 20, 2016. The award was largely in recognition of the intellectual property portfolio attained by the Sami-Sabinsa Group, now encompassing 110 U.S. and international patents.

Jay W. Erskin was appointed senior vice president supply chain at Bevolution Group, a leader in the manufacture of shelf-stable and frozen beverage products. He will have responsibility for manufacturing, procurement, logistics, and customer service and oversight for quality and food safety programs. The company also appointed Rosaleen Doherty as vice president research and development, quality and regulatory.

BGG Group announced that the company has appointed Christian Artaria as the global chief marketing officer, effective immediately. Artaria is a seasoned pharmaceutical and nutritional industry expert who acquired a wealth of business and product management experience during the last 18 years.
