The Naturex Foundation aims to improve the living conditions of local populations in countries where the company sources its raw materials. Since its opening in June 2008, the Naturex Foundation has supported projects in Morocco and Peru that have already considerably progressed.
In Morocco, the “Tayouga*” project promotes social integration for young disabled people in the countryside by setting up farms fully integrated into the regional agricultural economy. Excluded from the formal educational system, these young people find themselves without any appropriate academic structure in the regions of Ouarzazate and Zagora.
The Naturex Foundation sponsors young students by supporting them from their training to the set up of their own farm. As of today, four young people are already installed and four other students are in training and should settle in 2009.
In Peru, our project in association with "Kalisayas Out Reach" focuses on the improvement of living conditions for the people who lives in Ninacaca, a village located in the Peruvian highlands. In this remote area, locals face with daily challenges, particularly regarding health care access and education.
Since 2008, the Naturex Foundation has helped to improve the dental office by supplying an X ray machine. In parallel, the Foundation has contributed to set up an Internet center, equipped with 10 computers and a satellite antenna. This donation is accompanied by the introduction of computer education for children. These actions sustainably improve the lives of people in Ninacaca.
Jacques Dikansky, President of the Naturex Foundation declared: "The projects supported by the Naturex Foundation are monitored throughout their implementation. Our actions in Morocco and Peru will continue in 2009 and pave the way for other projects in the world. For example, we are currently investigating the possibilities for Asia. "
