Phillip Nabors, co-founder and CEO, is passing the family torch of leading the Mustard Seed Market and Café to sons Gabe and Abraham. Mother and founder Margaret retired in 2012.

“The time has come for me to take a more supportive role in the background and enjoy the passion that may sons have for the business,” Phillip said.

Gabe began working at Mustard Seed in 2001 learning and understanding the numerous facets of the financial side of the business. Son Abraham will continue his role as director of education and standards. Abraham started his tenure in 1996 and is passionate about the core mission of the business: providing healthy food and education to support a healthy lifestyle.

“Both Margaret and I have  dreamed of our kids taking over the family business," Phillip said. "We are pleased and proud that they have both embraced this work. We are also pleased that they share our commitment to supporting our community. The parents are proud.”
