Vit-Best builds world-class management team to focus on global business

Vit-Best Nutrition has appointed Thomas Mooy, an industry professional widely respected for driving contract manufacturing growth for global businesses, to its team as president. Additionally, industry veteran Rick L. Beatty has been named vice president of quality at the company. Both will join previously announced John Altenberg as vice president of sales. “We have built a world-class team with deep manufacturing experience in order to leverage our massive production capacity,” commented CEO Gale Bensussen. “Vit-Best is focused on meeting the needs of worldwide brands with superior quality, multinational regulatory expertise and a consistently dependable supply chain,” he said. “This is the team to deliver those results.”

Mooy, with 27 years in the consumer health care and pharmaceutical industries, has broad experience in helping companies maximize sales potential and profitability. He will oversee global trade relations, new customers and customer relationships. Mooy has led several contract manufacturers in organizational and business development. He has leadership experience in supply chain efficiencies and team building.

Rick Beatty will focus on building quality systems to complement manufacturing while maintaining up-to-date compliance standards. He will bring his experience in large-scale powder and ingredient manufacturing in the food industry to complement the extensive powder production capacity of the company. Beatty brings 18-years of experience within the dietary supplement industry. He has overseen all aspects of quality assurance for leading manufacturers including the implementation and oversight of fluid bed technologies for coating applications.

Altenberg has extensive experience with nutritional product companies including brand development and planning and execution of strategic trade marketing programs for the nations’ largest retail chains. With 27 years of industry experience including over 10 years managing contract manufacturing businesses, he will focus on new business development and oversight of customer accounts.
