The Vitamin Shoppe Names Richard Tannenbaum Vice President of Business Strategy

NORTH BERGEN, NJ, Jan 14, 2008 (MARKET WIRE via COMTEX) -- The Vitamin Shoppe announced that Richard Tannenbaum has joined the company as Vice President of Business Strategy. Mr. Tannenbaum joined The Vitamin Shoppe in December 2007 in this newly created position, reporting directly to CEO Tom Tolworthy. In this capacity, Mr. Tannenbaum is responsible for the strategic planning of the company as well as new business channels and opportunities.

Prior to joining The Vitamin Shoppe, Mr. Tannenbaum was the Vice President of Distribution Services for PetSmart. Before PetSmart, Mr. Tannenbaum was the Director of Supply Chain at POM Wonderful and Vice President of Distribution for eToys. He began his career at The Franklin Mint in the engineering group.

Mr. Tannenbaum holds a B.S. in Industrial Engineering, with Honors from Penn State University, and studied at the Australian National University.
