This week: Amazing Grass debuts functional elixir, effervescent lines | Go Veggie launches vegan cheesy bites

Amazing Grass will debut new functional elixir and effervescent lines at Natural Products Expo West. Amazing Grass Elixirs, available in Beauty, Brain and Belly blends, are a line of USDA Organic Certified powders which are crafted with fermented greens and adaptogenic herbs, plus pioneering functional ingredients specifically designed to support key wellness needs around aging, cognitive and gut health. Amazing Grass Green Superfood Effervescent is a dissolvable tablet created with the brand’s organic alkalizing greens blend designed to provide an invigorating dose of greens, clean energy and help support immunity. Each product line begins shipping to retailers nationwide in June.  

Plant-based nutrition company Clean Machine is introducing to the market a "superfood" protein powder with Lentein, a brand of protein-rich water lentils sustainably harvested by Parabel USA. Clean Green Protein has a protein and branch chain amino acid profile comparable to whey but is certified vegan, dairy-free, gluten-free and non-GMO.

Bare Snacks strengthens its snack portfolio with the launch of new Bare Chia Coconut Bites, uniting two mighty superfoods—coconut and chia—into one satisfying bite. They're available in three crunchy flavors, including Chia + Vanilla, Chia + Pineapple and Chia + Flax.

Food should be fun, according to Wild Friends' cofounder, which is why they're launching new Super Butter nut butter products with on-trend add-ins like clover honey, chia and flax. Wild Friends has also partnered with honey supplier Glory Bee Foods to donate a percentage of sales to the "Save the Bees" social program.

Craft ice pop company Brewla will merge with children's snack company Ruby's Naturals, creator of Ruby Rocket's Frozen Fruit & Veggie Pop and Non-Dairy Yogurt Alternative. The combined entities now working as Ruby’s Naturals will operate out of the company’s New York office on Fulton Street.

Alter Eco is sweetening its sustainable chocolate portfolio with new USDA Organic and Certified Fair Trade bars and truffles launching at Natural Products Expo West: Dark Salt & Malt, Dark Salted Almonds, Dark Super Blackout and Dark Mint Truffles. The bars boast at least 70 percent cocoa, while the truffles contain 58 percent cocoa. 

Organic sprouted snack company Soul Sprout adds plant-based Almond Butter Power Bites and Big Bites to its portfolio. The new snack lines are USDA Certified Organic and Non-GMO Project Verified, comprising nutrient-packed sprouted nuts and seeds, and are free from gluten, dairy, peanuts and refined sugar.

Grab Green debuts new Stoneworks Laundry Detergent pod collection ideal for budget-minded, environmentally conscious millennials. Stoneworks is free of phosphates, phthalates, chlorine, dyes or masking agents, and each package features custom hand-drawn illustrations and is finished with touches of metallic accents. 

New from Purely Pinole is Grab & Go Snack Cups in four flavors: Brown Sugar + Cinnamon, Maqui Berry + Almond + Coconut, Chocolate Mocha and Berry Boost.

Sun Chlorella Corp., the California-based company passionate about all things chlorella, announced Non-GMO Project verification of all products and the launch of individual serving packets of its premium chlorella powder. 

At Expo West, Fruit d’Or will demo a dynamic women’s health formulation called GO2 that blends its non-GMO organic cranberry juice powder with three other science-based ingredients: Sunfiber, Taiyo’s clinically studied prebiotic guar fiber that promotes satiety and digestive regularity; LactoCran, a cranberry protein powder/probiotics formulation which contains Bacillus coagulans MTCC 5856, a probiotic strain from Sabinsa that has 200 percent more activity growth when combined with the cranberry than FOS; and PreticX, AIDP’s slightly sweet prebiotic shown in clinical studies to significantly increase the proliferation of bifidobacterium in both low and high doses. Fitness drink brand Celsius announced its first line extension, broadening its reach into the natural channel. The new line has six refreshing flavors: three sparkling—grapefruit, cucumber lime, orange pomegranate—and three non-carbonated—pineapple coconut, watermelon berry, and strawberries & cream. The natural line extension features natural caffeine from green coffee bean extract, and an all-natural sweetener.

Non-dairy cheese pioneer Go Veggie launches new Vegan Snack Bars in two flavors: White American and White Cheddar & Meatless Bacon made with healthy coconut and non-GMO ingredients. They contain no dairy, cholesterol, lactose, soy nor gluten, and are only 60 calories each.
