Evol Foods, Boulder-based maker of pure and simple frozen entrées, burritos and breakfast items, debuts four new international flavors within its single-serve entrée line: Shawarma Style Chicken, Ginger Soy Udon Noodles, Hawaiian Style Grilled Chicken and Korean BBQ Style Chicken. They all contain between 300 and 320 calories and have an MSRP of $3.99.
Functional ingredients leader AIDP continued to broaden its healthy aging ingredient portfolio with new collagen for joint and skin health. It's signed a distribution agreement with Weishardt International for the sale of its fish collagen peptides brand Naticol into the U.S. dietary supplements market. Naticol is a natural source of Type I collagen peptides.
Kyowa Hakko announced the launch of its premium branded ingredient Setria Glutathione in the European markets. Kyowa has been manufacturing glutathione since the 1960s using a patented fermentation process. This proprietary technology, several years in the making, further distinguishes Setria glutathione from generic glutathione in the market. Setria is a high purity form of glutathione, vegetarian and allergen-free with no animal or human raw materials used.
A new line of organic plant proteins from Jarrow Formulas features a blend of six organic protein sources: quinoa powder, sunflower protein, hemp protein, pea protein, sacha inchi protein and coix protein. All three flavors—Chocolate Mocha, Vanilla Spice and Salted Caramel—provide 18 grams of protein, 4 grams of dietary fiber and no added sugar.
