Gencor, Radient launch 3 extracts

First three products from the partnership were developed using Radient’s patented MAP extraction technology to improve the cost, recovery and purity of natural actives.

Radient Technologies Inc., an innovator in the extraction of natural ingredients from natural biomass, and Gencor, a leading, worldwide supplier of science-driven herbal extracts, announced the launch of the first three products arising from their partnership to develop high-value natural compounds for the food, beverage, nutraceutical and other niche industries. The products were developed using Radient’s patented microwave-assisted processing extraction technology, or MAP™, which significantly improves the cost, recovery and purity of natural actives relative to conventional methods.

The three products are proprietary extracts of valerian, flax and rosemary. In addition to the conventional potency, all three will be available at twice the standard industry concentrations. The double potency offers manufacturers the option of reducing the quantity of material used while maintaining the same dosage of the active ingredient, allowing for smaller tablets, capsules and other delivery forms. The market interest in smaller dose sizes is significant, as smaller sizes have been shown to promote greater consumer compliance with regimens.

Gencor will be introducing the three products at SupplySide West in Las Vegas Oct. 6 to 10. Representatives from Gencor and Radient will be on hand to answer any questions regarding the MAP™ technology. Gencor and Radient anticipate their continuing collaboration will yield further innovative products that address high value market needs.
