Qualitas Health shares omega-3 innovations at SSW

Qualitas Health, a developer of vegetarian nutrition ingredients based on microalgae, will be sponsoring a VendorBrief presentation at SupplySide West called “Innovative Sources of Omega-3s.”

Presented by Dr. Isaac Berzin, a pioneer of the algae industry and chief technology officer at Qualitas Health, the presentation will take place on Thursday, Nov. 14 from 1:30 to 1:50 p.m. at Booth #14074. The presentation is free to all SupplySide West attendees.

Dr. Berzin will discuss microalgae as a source for nutrition ingredients, and introduce Almega PL, a new, EPA-rich, polar-lipid (phospholipid and glycolipid) omega-3 oil from non-GMO algae. A highlight of the presentation will be the results of a recent clinical study showing that, on a gram-per-gram basis, Almega PL, offers better bioavailability of eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) than krill oil.
