Pantesin® is a biologically active derivative of vitamin B5 (pantethine).
 
This white paper examines the results of a research study recently published in the Journal of Nutrition Research.This study examined the effect of Pantesin on total cholesterol (TC) and low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) metabolism in North American subjects.
 
The study, titled "Pantethine, a derivative of vitamin B5 used as a nutritional supplement, favorably alters low-density lipoprotein cholesterol metabolism in low- to moderate-cardiovascular risk North American subjects: a triple-blinded placebo and diet-controlled investigation” was accepted for publication Aug. 2, 2011.
