Ten pet-focused brands have been selected to participate in two days of innovation pitching and mastermind problem solving at the first Pet Innovation Challenge, which focuses on passionate innovators seizing nascent opportunities and overcoming tremendous obstacles in the pet-care category.
The event on Oct. 2-3, 2019, at Factory in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, challenges the idea that entrepreneurs are often left to "go it alone" in their quest to do better by our pets and our planet. It's sponsored by New Hope Network and hosted by Factory, a team of experienced operators with $250 million of investable capital who acquire meaningful equity stakes in high-potential food, beverage and pet health companies, and partner with them to rapidly build value.
The pitch event will be Oct. 2, and the community is invited to attend and discover the ideas that are changing the pet care landscape. All event proceeds go to a local animal shelter.
Here are the entre-pet-neurs that will pitch their brands for a shot at more than $50,000 in prizes.
Animal Biome, microbiome testing and supplements for health and wellness
Because Animals, a biotechnology company the creates pet food made with cultured meat
Chippin, the “Beyond Meat of Pet Food”
