James Faison didn't set out to launch a CPG brand. The original plan for this Harvard-educated entrepreneur and lawyer was to tend the farm he inherited from his grandfather, Milton. But a lack of clean, traceable meat in the marketplace soon inspired Faison to launch a brand that lauded responsible meat producers near his small, rural hometown in Virginia. Here, Faison illuminates how he started Milton's Local, and his advice for other natural products entrepreneurs.
