InterHealth Nutraceuticals announced it has appointed Navpreet Singh, PhD, MBA, as vice president of operations. To further focus on company growth, InterHealth has also hired Brian Appell to the position of Northeast regional sales manager.

Dr. Singh’s received his PhD in food and bioprocess engineering from the University of Illinois and his MBA from Indiana Wesleyan University. Dr. Singh has extensive experience in process engineering from development to scale-up and optimization, raw material procurement and qualification, analytical method development, and management of product profiles from product stability to specifications, through labeling and packaging. In addition, he has extensive international work experience in France, India, Ireland, Italy, Mexico, Netherlands, Singapore, Taiwan and most recently with Mead Johnson.

Mr. Appell graduated with high honors from Rutgers University with a degree in Nutritional Sciences and Biochemistry. He has been working for Reliance Vitamins over the past nine years in sales the Northeast selling private label vitamins and store brand supplement programs to independent retailers and regional chains. Mr. Appell’s extensive product management, sales and customer marketing experience will greatly complement InterHealth’s current sales force.
