U.S. Right to Know announces that Gail Sullivan is joining its team as communications director.

“I believe consumers have a right to know what’s in their food. I’ll be reporting on the facts and science to help consumers make informed choices for their families,” Sullivan said. “Improving transparency and understanding is the first step towards holding regulators, lawmakers and food companies accountable for what’s wrong with our food system.”

Sullivan joins U.S Right to Know from The Washington Post, where she covered business and technology for the Post’s popular Morning Mix blog. She previously wrote about banking and finance regulation at CQ Roll Call, where she started out as a fact-checker. She has also written about legal issues for CQ Weekly Magazine and The Washington Post. Sullivan holds a law degree from Wake Forest University School of Law. She earned undergraduate degrees in Psychology and Communications from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
