Probiotics have moved far afield from supplements and yogurt. You can now get your daily fill via straws that are lined with the friendly bacteria, or via carbonated drinks, chocolates and more. There doesn't seem to be any sign of stopping it.

For a deeper dive into the business and innovations in the probiotics world, check out the Nutrition Business Journal / Engredea monograph edition on probiotics.

Also, at the Nutracon conference March 6-7 in Anaheim, at the front end of Natural Products Expo West and Engredea, one of the educationaln tracks is on "Gut health, immunity & probiotics." This high-level science and product formulation conference will give you rare insights into cutting-edge research from leading academics and opportunities in the space to capitalize on this boisterous category.
