Sabinsa wins Frost & Sullivan award for prebiotic delivery

Sabinsa Corp. is the recipient of Frost & Sullivan’s 2013 North American Integrated Prebiotic Delivery Technology Innovation Award. The award is in acknowledgment of Sabinsa’s Integrated Nutritional Composites™ (INC) technology, which allows the company to create “synbiotics,” the combination of prebiotics and probiotics. This release profile, a bi-layer technology that delivers stable, active formulation of ingredients that otherwise may be incompatible or difficult to co-formulate, works more effectively.

“Frost & Sullivan firmly believes that the Integrated Nutritional Composites (INC) technology developed by Sabinsa is an innovative, game-changing technology in the prebiotic delivery and formulation market,” said Frost & Sullivan research analyst Arpita Mukherjee. “The bi-layer tablets enable the integration of incompatible ingredients, help explore different time-release profiles of the ingredients, and are also quite attractive due to their two-tone appearance. The technology can be used for formulating bi-layer tablets with chemically incompatible ingredients, providing more flexibility for formulation manufacturers to integrate ingredients in a single approach.”

“We’re certainly honored by this recognition; it validates the innovation that has always driven Sabinsa,” stated company founder Dr. Muhammed Majeed.

In 2008, Sabinsa received Frost & Sullivan’s North American Personal Care Ingredient Green Excellence of the Year Award in acknowledgment of Sabinsa’s strategically balanced green product offering, proactive and sustainable marketing practices, and the continuous ability to satisfy client needs in an increasingly diverse and green-conscious market space.
