Chrysantis, Inc. obtains GRAS status for its natural zeaxanthin

WEST CHICAGO, IL – Chrysantis, Inc. announces that its all-natural zeaxanthin, branded under the name EZEyes®, has achieved the designation of Generally Recognized As Safe (GRAS). A panel of experts determined that EZEyes is GRAS after review of extensive research and data that supports the safety of natural zeaxanthin from Chrysantis Marigolds for use in food and beverage products. GRAS is a United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) designation that confirms an ingredient is safe to be added to food.
