Nutratech, Inc., Files Patent Infringement Lawsuit

WEST CALDWELL, N.J., July 6, 2006 ‑ Nutratech, Inc. ‑ exclusive worldwide distributor of Advantra Z®, a proprietary bitter orange extract and the only patented thermogenic ingredient ‑ has filed a patent infringement lawsuit against Syntech International, a nutraceutical ingredient supplier based in Walnut, Calif.

The suit alleges that Syntech is selling and distributing bitter orange raw material in violation of Nutratech’s exclusive patents.

Advantra Z is protected by U.S. patent numbers 6,224,873; 6,316,499; 6,340,481; and 6,340,482 ‑ owned by Zhishin LLC and licensed exclusively to Nutratech ‑ for:

  • Stimulating thermogenesis;

  • Reducing weight;

  • Increasing the percentage of lean muscle in relation to total body mass;

  • Improving athletic performance; and

  • Suppressing appetite.

Only Advantra Z is licensed under these patents to provide these benefits.
