Organic spinach powder

NP Nutra today announced the release of its new Organic Spinach Powder for use in functional foods, drinks, tablets, capsules and powdered supplements. NP Nutra’s Organic Spinach Powder is aimed at the booming green foods market, a sector that has seen spectacular growth over the past 10 years. Spinach is a very good source of vitamins and minerals such as iron, vitamin A, vitamin C, vitamin E, vitamin K, thiamin, riboflavin, vitamin B6, folate, calcium, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium, copper and manganese. Spinach is also an excellent source of omega-3 fatty acids, fiber and protein. Spinach has also been found to contain rubiscolin, a class of chemicals known as opoid peptides that may act like endorphins inside the body.

Lemon ingredients for range of applications
Family-owned Van Drunen Farms is offering the zing of lemons and lemon peel in its variety of lemon ingredients. Air-dried Lemon Peel comes as a powder or granule, and works well in topical seasoning mixes, marinades and glazes. It also pairs well with fish, chicken, and dark green vegetables, and adds a boost of flavor to nutritional bars. Air-dried Lemon Peel adds a natural citrus flavor to beer and other alcoholic beverages. Freeze-dried Lemon, powder or granules, is available in conventional and organic form, and is made from the whole lemon. This product works well in seasoning mixes, teas, drink mixes and yogurt. Bilberry cosmetics ingredient in development

DianaPlantSciences and Solabia are teaming up to develop a cosmetic ingredient based on an extract of bilberry derived from plant cell culture.DianaPlantSciences, a player in concentrated actives’ production, has signed an agreement with Solabia, a manufacturer of natural and vegetal ingredients. The agreement focuses on the production of a novel bilberry extract dedicated to the cosmetic industry. DianaPlantSciences will supply Solabia with bilberry (Vaccinium myrtillus) cells rich in polyphenols, especially in procyanidins, which are almost colorless compared to the anthocyanins found in bilberry and blueberry extracts. Solabia will bring its expertise in extracting natural vegetal actives, its know-how in substantiating the benefits of bioactives and its marketing experience. DianaPlantSciences and Solabia exhibited at the In-Cosmetics Tradeshow in Paris from April 16 - 18, 2013.
