Nordic Naturals debuts potent alternative to krill

Nordic Naturals debuts potent alternative to krill
Omega-3 Phospholipids combines the brand’s top-selling omega-3 fish oil concentrate with phospholipid-bound omega-3s from herring roe.

Nordic Naturals, the number-one fish oil brand in the U.S., according to SPINS scan data, announces the release of Omega-3 Phospholipids™. The product combines the brand’s top-selling omega-3 fish oil concentrate with phospholipid-bound omega-3s from herring roe to deliver the potent alternative to krill.

When compared to all leading krill products, Omega-3 Phospholipids delivers more than twice the omega-3s. It also contains the highest phospholipid content. Each dose delivers 520 mg of omega-3s EPA+DHA and 448 mg of phospholipids.

“Existing omega-3 phospholipid products do not comply with the expert-recommended minimum dose of 500 mg of EPA and DHA per serving,” said Joar Opheim, Nordic Naturals’ founder and CEO. “For those consumers interested in the phospholipid form, we felt it was our responsibility to offer a phospholipid product with meaningful amounts of EPA and DHA.”

Omega-3 Phospholipids is delivered in small, easy-to-swallow soft gels. The product is rich in phosphatidyl choline, the most common phospholipid in the body, and contains a broader range of phospholipids than those found in krill products. Like all Nordic Naturals fish oil products, Omega-3 Phospholipids is sustainably sourced.

Omega-3 Phospholipids is an excellent choice for people seeking support for brain and nervous system health, as well as heart health. The combination of omega-3s in the triglyceride form and phospholipids also promotes healthy cell development and maintenance.
