BALTIMORE, MD (July 5, 2006) – Nominations are now being accepted for the 12th Annual Socially Responsible Business Awards, to be given on Friday, October 6, 2006, from 8:00 – 9:30 am in room 307 & 308 at the Baltimore Convention Center, Baltimore, MD. The deadline for nominations is August 15, 2006.

SRBA recipients demonstrate exceptional track records in ethics, accountability, governance, employment practices, business relationships, financial return, products and services, community involvement and environmental protection. Nominations can be made by the companies themselves, or any other industry member.

SRBA winners in 2005 were NOW Foods, Inc.; Organic India (distributed in the US by OM Organics); Dr. Bronner’s; and Dagoba Chocolates.

“We were honored to be chosen for the SRBA in 2005,” said Dan Richard, who accepted the award on behalf on NOW Foods. “The values this award celebrates have been central to our company since it was founded, and while we don’t do it for recognition, we know our customers appreciate the confirmation of our sharing their values.”

Golden Temple Bakery, the manufacturer of Yogi Tea, Peace Cereals and bulk granola organize and sponsor the annual breakfast event. Co-sponsors to date are New Hope Natural Media and Expo East, Dr. Bronner, Dogoba, Steaz and John Beske Communications. Additional Co-sponsorships are available.
