Ajinomoto Co., Inc. (Ajinomoto), the world's leading amino acid manufacturer, is responding to growth in demand for amino acids for pharmaceuticals and foods by expanding production facilities at Shanghai Ajinomoto Amino Acid Co., Ltd. (Shanghai, China).
Ajinomoto will invest RMB 100 million (about JPY 1.3 billion) to approximately double annual production capacity to 2,500 tons. Completion is scheduled for October 2014.
