BRISBANE, QUEENSLAND, August 23, 2005 - BioLogic Health Solutions Pty Ltd., an Australia-based company whose mission is to research, develop and promote a range of well-researched natural products that improve the quality of people's lives, has announced the appointment of Amanda Rao to the position of technical and research manager. Amanda will help oversee new product development, quality assurance, regulatory affairs, design and supervision of clinical trials and production of all technical literature.
"Amanda brings to Biologic more than 13 years of technical and research experience in the natural sciences industry," stated Debra Seipel, managing director, BioLogic Health Solutions. "Her skills will be a valuable asset to our company as we continue our launch of the only branded ingredient for urinary incontinence and overactive bladder into the U.S. market."
Amanda Rao, B. App. Sc., PG Dip. App. Sc, has extensive background in physiology, biochemistry, natural therapies and education. She has spent the past year at the University of the Highlands in Scotland helping to develop new complementary therapies courses and conducted lectures on aromatherapy at Queen Margaret University College. Previously, she was a senior lecturer and head of faculty in health science department at the Australian College of Natural Medicine. Amanda has also worked for the Queensland Government's Department of Natural Resources and Department of Primary Industries. She received her Bachelor's of Applied Science with an emphasis in Biology and Chemistry from the University of Southern Queensland in 1991 and earned a Post Graduate Diploma in Applied Science from the University of Queensland in 1994. Currently she is working toward a Master's of Health Science at the Queensland University of Technology.
