Bioriginal Food & Science Corp. Receives Coveted ABEX Award for “New Saskatchewan Product”

The 2002 ABEX Award for “New Saskatchewan Product” was recently presented to Bioriginal Food & Science Corp., the world's leading supplier of essential fatty acids, in recognition of their development of a new patented process for manufacturing conjugated linoleic acid (CLA).

Accepting the coveted award, Jerome Konecsni, Vice President of Corporate Development for Bioriginal, said, “This award was truly the result of teamwork. From our research partnership with Agriculture Canada to our operations, logistics, legal, marketing and sales people, absolutely everyone had a hand in making this project a success.” Bioriginal co-developed the process for manufacturing CLA with Agriculture Canada, who owns the patent, while Bioriginal has an exclusive license to use it.

The Saskatchewan Chamber of Commerce ABEX Awards honor outstanding achievements in business excellence. The award has gained prominence as the most highly esteemed symbol of business excellence in Saskatchewan, Canada.
