Sept. 22, 2004, LaGrange, IL — Christine Peggau, a marketing expert from the world’s leading consumer products companies, joins Cognis Nutrition & Health as the new Global Market Segment Manager, Dietary Supplements. Ms. Peggau is filling the position held by Kathleen Moran, who is moving into a new marketing opportunity with Cognis Australia.
Ms. Peggau is responsible for managing worldwide marketing and sales programs for Cognis’ dietary supplements ingredients as well as spearheading new concepts and formulations as part of its health-condition specific focus.
Ms. Peggau was most recently Brand Manager at the Kellogg Company in Elmhurst, IL, where she managed $300 million of various products. “Christine is a proven leader and she will be an important catalyst in working with our customers to find innovative concepts and solutions for marketing success,” said Norbert Weitkemper, Global Director of Marketing, Cognis Nutrition & Health. “Cognis and our customers will benefit from her business savvy, international experience, and proven ability to increase sales through smart marketing strategies.”
Born, raised and educated in Denmark, Ms. Peggau moved to the United States to take a job with Sara Lee and then earned her MBA with a major in marketing from the University of Wisconsin at Madison. Before joining Kellogg’s, she was a Marketing Manager at the Alberto Culver Company.
Brand Week Magazine named her “Guerilla Marketer of the Year” in 1998.
