Clinical Tests in Humans Confirm 'SPORT SAFE' Nutritional Supplements

Nutravail Will Be Launching SPORT SAFE(TM), A New Line of Supplements - SPORT SAFE(TM) Shown to Be Free of Banned Substances as Defined by the IOC

CHANTILLY, Va., Feb. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- Nutravail Technologies is announcing the upcoming launch of the first of a number of human-tested "sport safe" nutritional supplements, DRIVE XP. Sport Safe(TM) DRIVE XP Performance Drink is a natural energy and electrolyte powder drink mix that also provides athletes the benefits of glucosamine for joint support. Nutravail's sports drink was administered in a clinical setting and was shown to be free of all banned substances as defined by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) in subsequent urine tests.

All SPORT SAFE(TM) supplements and drinks will be clinically tested on human subjects, and quality controlled so that the use of the products does not lead to any positive tests for banned substances. The quality control processes of testing in human subjects is beyond what is performed for many pharmaceuticals.

DRIVE XP by SPORT SAFE(TM) will be made available to athletes, coaches and trainers throughout the international athletic community, as well as to high schools, colleges and professional teams in North America. Additional products will be added, leading to a full range of sports supplements, including protein powders, vitamin and minerals and innovative specialty supplements. Nutravail expects to launch up to six additional SPORT SAFE(TM) products within a year.

During their careers, athletes use more nutrients and in larger amounts, than do non-competitors. Athletes are restricted by regulations forbidding banned substances, which apply in most sports -- from the high school level through elite national and international competitions. Athletes, coaches, trainers and parents are aware that sports federations have banned the use of certain classes of substances such as stimulants, narcotics, anabolic agents, diuretics, peptide hormones and substances that alter the integrity of the urine samples. They also forbid blood doping and restrict substances such as asthma drugs and caffeine. However, analysis of urine samples has produced "doping positives" which authorities have sometimes accepted as arising from the use of supplements. Some sport authorities have warned competitors not to take supplements. However, the use of SPORT SAFE(TM)?food supplements, in which every batch is tested in humans before release, allows competitors to use supplements without fear of providing a positive test from their use.

Nutravail Technologies and Dr. Arnold Beckett developed SPORT SAFE(TM). Dr Beckett was previously a member of the IOC Medical Commission and its Doping sub-committee for 25 years. Dr. Beckett was also a member of the International Amateur Athletic Federation (IAAF) Medical Commission for 25 years, Chairman of the ITF (International Tennis Federation) Medical Commission, and founder of the United Kingdom IOC accredited laboratory for dope testing. In 2000, he was a Millennial Pharmaceutical Scientist Winner, one of 21 pharmaceutical scientists so honored in the world in the 21st century.

Nutravail Technologies will contribute 1% of royalty revenues to the establishment of an international SPORT SAFE(TM) Advisory Board. This board will include competing athletes and representatives of international and national sporting bodies.
