The Healthy Foundation Receives 'Celebrating Excellence Award' from The Campaign for Better Health

Murrieta, CA – At a recent black tie dinner in Washington, D.C., The Healthy Foundation (THF) received the “Celebrating Excellence Award” from The Campaign for Better Health. Also receiving awards at the event were best selling author Deepak Chopra, renowned scientist Robert Becker and other health care pioneers.

James S. Gordon, M.D., former Chair of the White House Commission on Complementary and Alternative Medicine Policy, presented the “Celebrating Excellence Award” to THF’s President Dr. Hyla Cass and Executive Director Michael Morton. Dr. Gordon states, “The Healthy Foundation is making a major contribution to our children's health and to our understanding of the powerful role nutrition can play in all of our mental and emotional functioning.”

The Healthy Foundation ( ) is a (501-C3) non-profit organization committed to ending malnutrition in America. Its national initiative, Vitamin Relief USA™, has over 350 sites in 36 states. They distribute daily vitamins to more than 15,000 poor, needy and homeless children and 1,300 seniors who are at risk for malnutrition. Initial results of their children’s program have been so dramatic - reduced illness, better school attendance, longer attention span, for example – that the U.S. Congress has awarded The Healthy Foundation a $500,000 grant to formally study the results.
