Nederland, CO—The International Association of Natural Product Producers (IANPP), based here, has announced that its campaign for charter members has come to a close. The organization was very recently formed to develop specific criteria for using the word “natural” in product positioning, labeling and other marketing communications.
“We are currently working on a draft guidelines sheet, garnering information from dozens of sources in both industry and government,” says IANPP Executive Director Darrin C. Duber-Smith. “I think we have a group of charter members that is very representative of the various supply chain participants in the Natural Products Industry, and it will be up to these 20 organizations to refine, finalize, and approve these draft guidelines, as well as steer the group in whatever future direction it deems most appropriate.”
The Charter Members are: Green Marketing, Mastey, Bioderm Research, Long Island Saucier, New Hope Natural Media, SunRose Aromatics, Aubrey Organics, SWHEAT SCOOP, Amin Law, Naturade, Maplewood Bake Company, Phoenix Brands, Jason Natural Products, NPIcenter, SuryaHenna/Vedic Hindus, ABRAPAN (association of Brazilian natural product producers), Frutarom USA, DNA Associates, Greyston Bakery, and Lunds/Byerly’s.
