Nature’s Path celebrates Whidbey Island Marathon winners with national recognition

Marathon winners – Jon Shea and Jessica Norton – featured on Optimum ReBound box

Richmond, BC – No wonder consumers love Nature’s Path Foods. As the title sponsor of the Whidbey Island Marathon & Half Marathon for a second consecutive year, Nature’s Path will start selling about 4.5 million Optimum™ ReBound™ cereal boxes throughout North America with the male and female race winners’ photos.

This year’s April 15 event winners are: Jon Shea of Ashland, Wash., and Jessica Norton of Seattle, Wash. Their times were 2:49:08 and 3:22:26, respectively. Another key competitor for a second consecutive year was Dean Karnazes, who this year completed The North Face® Endurance 50; 50 marathons in 50 states in 50 consecutive days. Karnazes’ time at the Whidbey Island Marathon was 3:17:23.

Maria Emmer-Aanes, Director of Marketing of Nature’s Path, wants to literally give the Optimum™ cereal consumer a face.
