Nordic Naturals to host omega-3 lecture at Int'l Vision Expo

Top eye doctor will discuss successful use of fish oil in optometric practice.

Nordic Naturals, the leader in clinical omega-3 nutrition, will host “Omega-3 Fish Oil: The Ideal Complement to the Optometric Practice,” a lecture by Dr. Millicent Knight, O.D., at the International Vision Expo and Conference in Las Vegas Sept. 5-8.

Dr. Knight, who has served on the National Advisory Council of the National Eye Institutes, will speak on Thursday, September 6th from 2:45–3:45 p.m. in Room 902 at the Venetian Hotel. CE credit is available.

Participants will learn how to optimize patient care through omega-3 applications. Dr. Knight will also discuss the omega-3 deficiency epidemic in the United States, and the critical role essential fatty acids play in eye health.

Dr. Knight, who is the Illinois Optometric Association’s current “Optometrist of the Year,” has firsthand experience in using essential fatty acids to successfully treat patients. She is completing training in health coaching through the Institute of Integrative Nutrition, and a fellowship through the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine. Dr. Knight owns North Shore Eye Center, Inc. in Evanston, Ill. She has been in practice for more than 20 years.
