Outstanding speaker line up at 2007 Healthy Foods European Summit

Over 25 leading figures in the health and wellbeing arena will come together at the annual Healthy
Foods European Summit. Marketing and advertising food & beverage products to children will be one of
the key topics covered on the first day of the Healthy Foods European Summit. Sue Eustace, Director
of the Advertising Association will look at the initiatives and role of commercial organisations in the
whole debate. Bryan Urbick, CEO of Consumer Knowledge Centre and recognised expert in the area
of child nutrition will share the latest findings relating to children and choice. Rounding up this session,
Magnus Scheving (aka Sporticus!) Creator of LazyTown Entertainment will reveal the large part that
entertainment has to play in creating appropriate role models for children to follow. This case study
shows remarkable results with eating habits following their initiatives and the presentation is expected to
end the first day of the conference on a high note!

Opening the conference, leading expert Dr. David Hughes (Emeritus Professor at Imperial College) will
give insights into global health trends. David is closely involved in building alliances between key chain
members in the food industry and works closely with food and beverage firms on business strategy and
with governments on food policy formulation. Government policy, regulatory, labelling and sustainability
issues will also feature on the first day.

The second day will address market opportunities, latest trends & scientific developments, hot new
innovations, M&As, management, marketing and a look into the future for the food and beverage
industry. Chairing will be Peter Wennstrom, President, Health Focus International and Dominic Dyer,
Executive Director, Soya Protein Association. Other speakers include senior representatives from
Oxford University, Mars, FSA, BEUC, Swedish RA, GOED, FDF, HortResearch, Asda, TSG, Naturis,
Kievit, Ocean Spray.

The conference brings together over a hundred senior representatives from international food &
beverage, retailing, government, regulatory affairs, scientific development, corporate management and
marketing communities. The event is recognised for it’s high quality of speakers and content and is
known as a leading platform for debate and networking. The Soya Protein Association / Food & Drink
Federation will hold a dinner on the evening before the conference and there will be a reception at the
