RFI Forges Partnership with Grupo CentroFlora

A supply partnership agreement was recently finalized between RFI Ingredients, Blauvelt, NY, and Grupo CentroFlora, Sao Paulo, Brazil. Under terms of the agreement, RFI Ingredients will be the exclusive partner in North America for all CentroFlora products. CentroFlora, which has a pharmaceutical-grade, certified organic manufacturing facility, is focused on producing high quality natural ingredients and promoting environmental and economic sustainability for the Brazilian community. Products include typical South American botanical extracts such as acerola, cat’s claw, catuaba, guarana, maca, mara puama, pau d’arco, suma (Brazilian ginseng) and yerba mate, as well as spray dried fruit and vegetable powders and cereal grasses, such as barley grass, wheat grass and alfalfa. The two companies are also cooperating to develop specialty RFI products using CentroFlora farms and manufacturing.

Jeff Wuagneux, president and CEO of RFI Ingredients, commented on the partnership. “This is a great opportunity for us to work with a top quality supplier like CentroFlora. With the renewed focus on quality in the dietary supplement industry, we are very pleased to be working with such a well-respected Brazilian company to offer our customers the best in single ingredients and custom formulations.”

Peter Anderson, president of CentroFlora, added, “We definitely made an excellent choice in having RFI as our exclusive partner in the U.S., not only because this agreement improves our visibility in the American market, but also because there is a great synergy between the two companies.”
