The Shelton Group PR Firm Receives NBJ Award

(July 25, 2005) – The Shelton Group, a Chicago-based boutique PR firm specializing in the nutritional products industry, has received a Business Achievement Award from the Nutrition Business Journal for the company’s ‘Efforts on Behalf of Industry’ at an awards ceremony held in conjunction with the Newport Summit in Laguna Niguel, CA July 20-22, 2005.

In bestowing the award to Suzanne Shelton, NBJ co-founder and editor Grant Ferrier noted Shelton’s many contributions to industry include: serving on the steering committee of the recently formed industry self-policing initiative the Natural Products Foundation (NPF), founding the Consultant’s Association for the Natural Products Industry (CANI), past board positions with Citizens For Health and Sustain, and ongoing committee work for both AHPA (the American Herbal Products Association) and NNFA (National Nutritional Foods Association).

“I think it says a lot about our industry that among NBJ’s awards for business success there is a category called Efforts of Behalf of Industry.” Shelton noted.
