Something New to Talk About: Europharma Announces Launch of 'Women's Health Talk Radio' in Partnership with the Deborah Ray Show

Green Bay, WI, January 14, 2003 EuroPharma, a new European-inspired company set to market an entire natural product line for total body and health care, has announced the debut of a new and different women¹s health talk radio show in partnership with the well-known and highly respected radio talk host Deborah Ray.

Sponsored by EuroPharma, "Women¹s Health Talk Radio" premiers Sunday, January 19 from 4-5 PM (EST), with each show thereafter running every Sunday for 30 minutes from 4:30-5 PM (EST). Initially airing on 40 of "The Deborah Ray Show" affiliate stations across the United States, topics will range from Healthy Weight Loss, How to Jazz Up Your Sex Life, Menopause, PMS and much more.

Unlike many other health talk radio shows that focus either solely on natural health or conventional medicine, "Women¹s Health Talk Radio" features integrated options for women¹s health, offering listeners solid, dynamic and often controversial information on both natural and conventional medical approaches to an overall healthy lifestyle. The listener call-in format is intended to be informative, yet conversational, with contributions and opinions from a range of expert panel co-hosts. Joining Deborah Ray are panelists Marla Ahlgrimm, R.Ph.; Shari Lieberman, Ph.D., CNS, FACN, and Hyla Cass, M.D. Each professional brings her own unique specialty to the show, and their combined energy and dynamic interaction is of the same ilk as the popular television talk show, "The View."

"This new radio show will empower women to take charge of their health by emphasizing the importance of women¹s health education," said Terry Lemerond, president of EuroPharma. "With the varied expertise of this professional panel, I believe we will raise women¹s self-esteem, improve their health, and enhance their lives tremendously."

Deborah Ray has been bringing quality health information to radio listeners since 1982. She has been consistently named among the top 100 most important talk radio hosts in America by Talkers Magazine, and has been host and speaker for numerous seminars and events for almost a decade. Deborah has a BS in Medical Technology, an MS in Immunology, and is certified by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists.

A registered pharmacist and founder of Women¹s Health America, Marla Ahlgrimm brings a distinctive attribute to the show with her extensive knowledge and background in the field of compound pharmacology. At Women¹s Health America, Ahlgrimm focuses on individualized natural and prescription therapies for women such as low-dose, customized Hormone Replacement Therapy for menopause and PMS. She established PMS Access, the nation¹s leading PMS resource, and has provided information and advice to more than 300,000 people through a national toll-free hotline and Women¹s Health Access, a national bimonthly subscription newsletter. Ahlgrimm has been interviewed for national radio broadcasts, magazines, newspaper articles, and television programs, particularly about women¹s health issues such as PMS and menopause. She is the author of The HRT Solution-Optimizing Your Hormone Potential (Avery, 1999), and Self-Help for Premenstrual Syndrome (Random House, 1999).

Dr. Lieberman¹s "no nonsense" approach to good nutrition and a fit, healthy lifestyle is sure to help motivate listeners to get on the right track of sensible eating and exercise for overall good health. A clinical nutritionist in private practice for over 20 years in New York City, Dr. Lieberman also serves as a presenter at numerous scientific conferences, is a frequent guest on television and radio shows, and she is often quoted in magazines as an authority on nutrition. She is the author of Dare to Lose (Avery/Penguin Putnam, 2002), Get Off the Menopause Roller Coaster (Avery/Penguin, 2000), The Real Vitamin and Mineral Book, 2nd edition (Avery Publishing Group, 1997), All About Vitamin C (Avery Publishing Group, 1999), Maitake Mushroom and D-fraction (Woodland Publishing, 2001), Maitake: King of Mushrooms (Keats Publishing, 1997).

Adding an emotional health element to the show, Dr. Hyla Cass, Assistant Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at UCLA School of Medicine, offers her expertise as an integrative psychiatrist combining traditional and alternative medicine. She is the author of Natural Highs: Supplements, Nutrition, and Mind/Body Techniques to Help You Feel Good All the Time, St. John¹s Wort: Nature¹s Blues Buster, Kava: Nature¹s Answer to Stress, Anxiety and Insomnia (co-written with Terrence McNally), A User¹s Guide to Vitamin C, A User¹s Guide to Ginkgo, and All About Herbs. Dr. Cass is a well-known speaker, consultant, and educator in the field of complementary medicine, specifically on the topics of health, stress reduction and the clinical use of herbs and supplements in relation to psychiatry. She is also a frequent commentator in newspapers, magazines, radio and television, and contributor to numerous books and journals.

According to Deborah Ray, "Women¹s Health Talk Radio and its exciting personalities add a new dimension to how we talk about women¹s health. I¹ve been looking for the right opportunity to expand into a specific women¹s health segment, and this is a natural extension."

"Women¹s Health Talk" will occasionally offer callers free gifts such as books written by each of the co-hosts and new EuroPharma products. Additionally, the show will direct listeners to web site links of each panel co-host for more in-depth information on particular topics, as well as recommended reading on women¹s health issues.
