Broomfield, CO – June 12, 2003 – Unigen Pharmaceuticals, Inc., a leading research and development facility and supplier of proprietary plant-derived biologically active ingredients to the natural products and pharmaceutical industries, has expanded its sales presence in Europe and Latin America by signing agency and distribution agreements with six international corporate partners.
Unigen’s European partners include Lake Chemical in the United Kingdom; CH Erbshloh in Germany, Poland, Austria and Switzerland; Bionord in Denmark, Sweden, Finland and Norway (for pharmaceutical and health food products); Pharmalogic in Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Norway, Italy, Greece and Poland (for specialty channels such as MLM’s, magazines, TV, etc.); Zeus Quimica in Spain and Portugal; and Will & Co in Belgium and the Netherlands. Some of these partners have a long and proven record representing Aloecorp, one of Unigen’s sister companies. In addition, Unigen has expanded into the Brazilian market with representation from Ayalla Marketing. All of these companies market to the pharmaceutical, nutraceutical and cosmeceutical industries.

Unigen is expected to finalize another agreement by the end of this month for distributor representation in France.
