Univera, Inc. Appoints Aloecorp’s John Rhees to Its Board of Directors

Broomfield, CO – June 4, 2004 – Univera, Inc., the holding company for its U.S. operations, including Aloecorp, Oasis Wellness Network and Unigen Pharmaceuticals, Inc., has announced the appointment of John Rhees, President & Chief Executive Officer of Aloecorp, to its Board of Directors effective immediately. The announcement was made at Univera’s bi-monthly Board meeting that took place in Seattle, Washington on May 30 in line with the company’s planned move in September to Lacey, Washington, where it is building a state-of-the-art corporate campus at the southern end of the Puget Sound.

“John is a very savvy businessman who has dedicated his career to furthering advancements in the natural health industry,” said B. William Lee, Univera’s Chairman of the Board. “Most notably, since joining Aloecorp eight months ago, John has spearheaded a number of company initiatives, particularly in the areas of processing and manufacturing—that allow Aloecorp to continue its role as a pacesetter and the leader for producing Gold Standard Aloe vera raw materials. Other members of the Univera Board are H.Y. Sung, Chief Executive Officer of Univera, Inc.; Derek H. They are joined by Sharen Pflughoeft, Univera’s Corporate Secretary.

Univera’s relocation to Lacey will involve two stages, the first of which will be the September move into an interim facility on 40 acres of land purchased by the company, with building of the corporate campus expected to be completed by 2007.
